Barrett as the Supreme Court Nominee

My niece thinks she has me figured out. She says "Daee" (that is mother side uncle in Farsi) is contrarian. He likes to oppose anything anybody says. So here are my contrarian views in a nutshell.

1- Trump is a clown, while there is nothing in the law to prevent a clown to run for office but as amusing a clown is inside a circus tent if the clown steps out in the real world and try to be clownish in every aspect of real life, it becomes problematic. That is the first reason that it is enough with this experiment and he should be voted out. All other reasons that I have read from my leftist friends, on FB, almost all of them are not real and actually promote him.
2- Not only Trump should be defeated in this election but the entire Republican party should receive a severe defeat, only because the leadership of the party has lost its control of the party and it needs to be rebuilt and this defeat might bring some level of sanity to the reorganization of that party. I suspect the development of sanity in this country might come through such re-organization.
3- The Democratic party is on the verge of repeating the experiment of the Republican party (opening the party to the rightist nuts), this time the experiment is losing the control of the party to the fringe leftist nuts represented by the Squad, Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, Pressely and Rashida and the likes of "Black Lives Matter" movement. The selection of Biden and Harris is a faint indication that this has not happened yet.
4- In this process of ongoing extreme political fragmentation, the supreme court seems to be the pivot of upholding the law above all political squabbling. The experiments have shown that the appointment of the "conservative" judges has not been such a boon to the political conservatives. A case in point is John Roberts. He has not sided with conservative political stands as was feared.
5- The selection of Amy Coney Barrett, which seems to be unavoidable, I believe would be another disappointment for the political conservatives. Just watch this video of a talk by Barret and you might come to the same conclusion. She gave this talk almost 4 years ago and cannot be interpreted as a political expediency speech. She seems to be a very thoughtful, smart judge well versed in the principles of the constitution.
6- I think I need to end this not so brief summary with another of my "contrarian" stand, I cannot disappoint my dearest, beautiful niece. I think our understanding of the constitution is flawed as represented by all sides in the court and the public at large. But that is another discussion.
